At 14, I was diagnosed with scoliosis after my mom noticed my body’s asymmetry. An x-ray revealed an S-curve with 15° and 14° angles, which the doctor said wouldn’t worsen or impact my life. However, by the following year, the curvature had doubled to 21° and 35°. Despite seeing top specialists, I was told there was nothing I could do.
I began Pilates at 15, which became a refuge from the anxiety of school and an empowering way to explore my strength and alignment. Determined to improve my curvature and manage pain, I discovered the power of movement. Along the way, great instructors inspired me to help others the same way they helped me. Pilates reignited my love for yoga and introduced me to bodybuilding, complementing my studies in exercise science and my personal experience with scoliosis and injuries.
Movement changed my life. I graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology - Exercise Movement & Science, a Certificate in Pilates, and multiple certifications in personal training, yoga, and nutrition. Most significantly, I earned a Level V Certification in Romana’s Pilates International®, one of the most rigorous training programs with over 1000 hours. These disciplines not only improved my physical and mental well-being but also corrected my spinal curvature and strengthened me in every way.
Wellness is more than movement—it’s about nutrition, self-care, and understanding the unique needs of every individual. My journey taught me that with support, hard work, and the right tools, transformation is possible. I’m honored to guide others in finding their perfect combination of fitness, health, and joy. Together, we can build strength, ease, and happiness in your mind, body, and spirit.
What is Pilates?

Pilates is a system of exercises designed to strengthen and stretch the body while creating a mind-body connection. It improves posture, flexibility, balance, and core strength. Pilates can be performed on a mat or specialized equipment like the Reformer, Cadillac, and Chair, which use springs and resistance to support or challenge movement.
Joseph Pilates, born in Germany in 1883, developed the method to overcome his childhood illnesses. During World War I, he refined his techniques using hospital beds and springs to help injured soldiers. After emigrating to the U.S., he and his wife Clara opened a studio in New York City, where their "Contrology" method gained a following among dancers like George Balanchine. Pilates lived by his method, passing away in 1967 at 83. Today, Pilates is practiced worldwide to improve strength, alignment, and overall well-being.
What is Romana's Pilates?
Romana’s Pilates continues Joseph Pilates’ legacy, passed down to his protégé Romana Kryzanowska. It incorporates mat exercises and specialized equipment, emphasizing principles like centering, concentration, precision, breath, and flow. Romana’s Pilates develops grace, strength, and efficiency of movement, enhancing everyday life through purposeful and mindful exercise.
